The Shruti Box is a small acoustic instrument with a surprisingly vast sonic universe. On its own, it can produce a stunning range of timbres — from pure, accordion-like tones and ecstatic pedal drones to blues-harp resonances and even strange, granular, almost synthetic textures.
Because of its expressive versatility, we chose not to include it in our usual blends. Instead, we sampled the acoustic instrument in depth, capturing every nuance, and extended its natural range and musical potential through our Double Espresso engine, complete with a unique set of creative custom FX.
Available exclusively in Double Espresso format (as both bundle and individual blends), Shruti Box is designed to become an essential tool for film composers and music producers seeking ethnic authenticity with an experimental edge.
