Ink Audio Amateur Orchestra KONTAKT
When adding orchestral elements to intimate, singer-songwriter recordings, polished libraries can feel out of place. Amateur Orchestra captures the sound of real people playing imperfect instruments in real rooms—uneven attacks, wandering pitch, breaths fading in and out. It’s the character of someone picking up an old attic instrument, blowing a few hesitant notes, and creating something uniquely textured.
This library offers a wide range of tones drawn from niche, beginner, and sometimes toy-level instruments. From plastic brass and contrabassoon “honks” to first-time cello bowing and decades-old trumpets, none of the samples aim for orchestral accuracy. Instead, they give you a palette of colors that clearly sit far from a traditional philharmonic sound.
