Flame Sound VATRA v1.0 VST3 [WIN]

VATRA is a mixing and mastering effect plugin for macOS and Windows in VST3 and Audio Unit formats.

It increases perceived loudness and shapes tone through harmonic generation, saturation, and transient shaping instead of compression or limiting. The internal processing does not clamp peaks, so the dynamics of the source material stay largely intact.

Five tools in one

IGNITE is a dual-stage density engine that lifts low-level material toward the peaks.

HEAT is a tape emulation that covers light coloration through to open tape-style distortion.

WEIGHT saturates the low frequencies to add body instead of boosting them with an EQ.

AIR saturates and excites the upper frequencies.

PUNCH is a transient shaper.

Separate IN and OUT controls are provided for gain staging and level-matched bypass comparisons.

Ten presets are included with the software, and the manual lists recommended starting positions for each control on full mixes and on individual sounds.

VATRA is the first plugin release from Flame Sound, the audio software brand of Tomislav Zlatić, founder of Bedroom Producers Blog. Development took approximately two years, and the developer states that no AI was used at any stage.
