Collingwood Cymbals – Ancient Medium Hi-Hats Sample Pack WAV
Collingwood Cymbals has released Ancient Medium Hi-Hats. This is a free sample pack of 144 one-shot hi-hat shots from Dave Collingwood. He used a custom set of homemade cymbals to record the sounds. The professionally recorded and processed samples were saved by the author in 24-bit WAV format.
The plates used are 100% handmade. They are made of flat Turkish billets (bronze grade B20), leveled with a hammer. Before recording, the instrument underwent a heavy patina lathe. This resulted in a dry, warm and crisp sound.
As for the file structure, there are 15 samples in each folder with 3 variations of 5 speeds – from easy to hard. An exception is the “Foot Splash” folder, which contains 9 samples (3 variations, 3 speeds).
