There’s an undeniable magic to the sound of tape—its warmth, depth, and natural glue that digital rarely matches. For Volume 2 of Live To Tape, we captured a collection of mid-tempo grooves (95–105 BPM), all recorded live at Milkboy Studios, Philadelphia on their legendary Studer A827 24-track tape machine.
At the heart of these sessions is GRAMMY-winning drummer Leonard “Pudge” Tribbett, delivering tight, soulful rhythms with just the right amount of tape saturation. The result is a set of grooves that feel rich, cohesive, and effortlessly musical.
Each loop has been broken down into its individual elements—drums, claps, percussion—as well as full mixed versions. You’ll also get a curated set of one-shot drum and percussion samples, making it easy to build your own patterns or layer with the loops. Mixed by Florian Gouello, the pack strikes the perfect balance between polished clarity and authentic analog warmth.
