Little Kit 001 is the first in a series of packs that explores sounds of small objects that are found around the house, office, studio and everyday life. Drawing from elements of field recording, the samples and sounds in these packs will serve as great tools to use as is, or to modify to create new sounds and loops. Drum & Lace, aka Sofia Hultquist, is an Italian composer and performer that writes and creates music for film, fashion and media. Inspired by interesting sounds and cinematic elements, Drum & Lace melds together sampled field recordings and lush layers of synths to create densely textural and beat-heavy music, greatly drawing from film music, music concrete and modern electronica. Her composition work ranges from writing music and soundscapes for fashion presentations to commercials, to composing for feature-length films such as co-scoring the fashion documentary “The First Monday in May” (directed by Andrew Rossi) that opened the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. Her composition work for fashion film series “Ethetics” by Noir Tribe, about sustainable fashion, has been an official selection at the Berlin fashion Film Festival, Fashion Film Festival Milano to name a few. Drum & Lace has performed at various galleries and venues in the LA area, where she’s currently based, and internationally. She has released three EPs, with a new EP in the works for early winter 2018.
