Moment you can do anything! an (un)familiar. moment WAV PRESETS
Maximalist but intentionally low-fidelity, sitting somewhere between dubstep, indie, nth-wave emo, and chiptune—that’s the world of “bitcrush music,” the self-defined style of 18-year-old US producer, sound designer, and plugin developer (un)familiar. A multi-hyphenate since age 11, they’ve released two Splice packs with Billegal Sounds, built Spectralsand (a spectral delay plugin that made waves across producer Twitter), and become a fixture in online music communities like FORM and Niztopia—winning this year’s Niztopia song wars with “123 (the longest dream)” alongside collaborators STOMACH BOOK, zombAe, and death do us apart. Their recent album rubberneck ties all these influences together into a diaristic, genre-shifting project where no two tracks sound alike.
“you can do anything!” comes from that same creative mindset—a toolkit built for “as many genres and contexts as possible” from an artist who’s “made basically everything at one point.” The pack carries a signature hi-fi through lo-fi aesthetic: polished yet nostalgic, modern yet handmade. Expect everything from liminal low-poly pads and miss-the-rage-style saws to dubstep machine-gun basses and full song ideas captured inside Serum 2 and Vital presets.
“I put a lot of thought and time into this pack, and I want as many people as possible to find it useful… feel free to @ me if you make something you want to show off!”
