PSP oldTimer is a collection of vintage-style compressor plugins designed to deliver smooth, musical dynamics processing with the warmth and character inspired by classic analog circuitry.

The installer includes two dedicated versions tailored for different workflows:

• PSP oldTimerME – An advanced compressor built for demanding track, bus, limiting, and mastering applications, featuring expanded channel processing options.
• PSP oldTimer – A streamlined vintage compressor focused on delivering warm, musical compression with minimal tweaking required.

Rather than emulating a single piece of hardware, the oldTimer series captures the most desirable qualities of classic vintage compressors, combining smooth dynamics control with subtle analog-style coloration and tube-inspired character.

PSP oldTimerME offers additional flexibility with the ability to process left, right, mid, or side channels independently while remaining intuitive and easy to use. Meanwhile, the standard PSP oldTimer focuses on simplicity, making it incredibly fast to dial in polished compression results without overcomplicating the workflow.

Both versions are capable of soft, transparent compression as well as richer harmonic coloration when driven harder, adding warmth and character to transients in a highly musical way.

As part of PSP’s Zero Latency Processing series, both plugins are ideal for live monitoring, tracking, broadcast applications, and real-time mixing situations where low latency is essential.
