The Sound Library
Gethen’s sound palette spans strings, woodwinds, vocals, tuned percussion, synths, and hybrid textures—each categorized into sustains and shorts, behaving uniquely within the engine.
Organic sources were captured as deeply multi-sampled instruments, featuring chromatic mapping, round robins, and dynamic layers for realism and expression. Designed elements were created using advanced spectral processing in Kyma, a system widely used in high-end film scoring and post-production.
Many sounds exist in a hybrid space—blending the familiar and the abstract—resulting in tones that feel both cinematic and otherworldly.
The Engine
Gethen is powered by two fully independent arpeggiators, each controlling its own sound layer.
